Water - 8 cups
Chicken - 14 oz
Onion - 1 pc (peeled and sliced rings)
Carrots - 2 pcs. (peeled and coarsely grated)
Salt to taste
Directions:
Rinse the chicken, put in a pan, and the cover with cold water. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Remove the foam (otherwise the broth won`t be clear). Simmer 20 minutes.
Add onions and carrots to the broth and simmer 20-30 minutes until tender. Salt to taste.
Remove chicken and strain the broth.
Tip: If you want to get a golden-colored broth, then put in the water whole unpeeled onion along with the chicken. It can be immediately removed as soon as it becomes soft.
