Recipe for Mongolian Pea Soup
Number of servings - 4
Dried peas - 1 cup (soaked in water overnight)
Tomato juice - 1 cup
Butter - 1 tbsp
Onion - 1 pc. (peeled and finely chopped)
Meat broth - 6 cups
Salt and ground black pepper to taste
Pour the broth to saucepan and bring to boil. Add peas and simmer 60-70 minutes.
Melt butter in a pan and saute onions. Add to the soup and simmer 15 minutes more.
Pour tomato juice, salt and pepper to taste. Simmer on low heat 10 minutes.
Pour cooked soup in bowls and serve with cream or sour cream.
Ready in: 100 minutes.
